Besides bringing in a fresh new swagger with the arrival of Adebayor, Manchester City have a whole new outfit for the new season which is sure to turn some heads. I didn’t see the new Manchester City 2009-2010 jersey until the Premier League kicked off, and I was pleasantly surprised by the new look, and the new way of playing. Football shirts should look like this, and it’s nice to see Umbro coming up with something nice for a change.

Another one of my favourite football shirt designs from Nike is the new Arsenal third shirt. It looks stunning, even though it might not be “traditional” Arsenal colours. It looks professional and simple and the lines are a great touch. I personally love it, and I’d buy one of them. Wouldn’t you?

Nike has done a fantastic job with most of the new 2009/2010 football shirts they’ve designed, and I want to start posting my personal favorite kit designs for the new season. The first one comes from the champions of Europe, Barcelona. This shirt really brings out a sense of tradition and professionalism, giving nothing fancy and sticking to a classic catalan look. The new shirt is, in my opinion, a lot nicer than last year’s, and the best Nike football jersey for the new season.

The drawback however, is in the away shirt, which is a salmon-ish colour. That doesn’t attract me too much, but the home jersey is amazing.
