Nike Football always makes these little awesome football videos, and they made one for the new season, with players from Arsenal and Manchester United. Check it out here, and lay it on the line.
PUMA, the official sponsor of Women’s Professional Soccer, also known as WPS, is proud to announce the beginning of a campaign that showcases the greatest female soccer players in the world. Leslie Osborne, Amy Rodriguez and Marta serve as the ambassadors for what will surely become one of the most celebrated female sports leagues ever. The launch campaign from Syrup and PUMA is not about comparing women to men. It’s not about protesting for equal salaries and media coverage. It’s about recognizing great play on the field. It’s about celebrating the joy of exceptional performance and teamwork. When great players play, they take their rightful place on the world stage. Awesome doesn’t beg for attention or ask for permission. Awesome is self-evident. Rolling out across TV, print, online and OOH the “Recognize Awesome” launch will introduce the unique personality, performance and style of each of our awesome stars.
An old football commercial it might be, but a great one either way. I thought about it today, and decided to share it. The story of Robin van Persie, and his day-to-day life at Arsenal and Holland. For those that missed it, the post if for you.
The big show finally got underway, with 80,000 people watching the presentation of Cristiano Ronaldo in the Real Madrid shirt. Quite a big spectacle for a player presentation, but it just goes to show the marketing stunts carried out by Real Madrid to sell more football shirts.
You can check out some photos from the presentation at the BBC website here. Also, the video from the presentation is below.
This is AMAZING. It’s the story of two giant shoes, shipped to opposite sides of the US, and designed by different artists. It’s awesome to see what they come up with and how they begin with the same canvas, but the end is completely different. I like the West Coast shoe better. Check it!
It’s videos like these that show the beauty of football. A bunch of old men with backpacks playing the beautiful game like they were 14 years old again. I wish my grandpa was that cool… seriously.
